In Vinyasa Flow, students move through a specific sequence of poses, with the majority of the movements synchronized to the breath. Classes begin with centering and warm-up poses, with cool down poses and breath work at the end. This class is for ALL LEVELS.
Class begins with slow gentle movements to release tension and soften the body, breath, and thoughts. Postures are used that specifically target the low back and abdomen. Cues for alignment are used throughout.
This class uses the fundamentals of yoga poses to enhance muscular strength, stability and balance. Advanced students will be invited to go deeper with more challenging additions. The last 15 minutes of class includes breath work and floor poses to cool down.
In Gentle Flow/Yin, students move through a specific sequence of poses, with the majority of the movements synchronized to the breath. Classes begin with centering and warm-up poses, with cool down poses and breath work at the end. The last 15 minutes of class uses floor poses supported with blankets to alternately stimulate and relax the body to move toward balance. This class is for ALL LEVELS.
Passive use of floor poses to promote flexibility in the fascia tissues and also promote health and stability in the joints through alignment. Class will include centering, meditation and pranayama.
In this all-levels class, you'll find the foundational postures of yoga heavily used throughout for their power to promote strength, flexibility, and alignment in the body's muscles and joints. Expect an emphasis on cues and linking breath with movement and look for simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement.
The first half of class will feature standing poses that slowly flow into each other, with generous cueing of proper alignment. The second half of the class will bring students gently down to the floor to experience floor postures that also utilize alignment and gravity to experience the benefits in the body.
